A week like Dive in and Discover allows for the transference of students’ existing skills and knowledge to new and unfamiliar contexts, which research shows is essential for deep learning. Today the “Under Construction” Dive in and Discover group applied learned concepts about forces of tension, compression, and counterweight to the construction of bridges.
