Head of School Transition

Heather Rogers Appointed as the Next Head of Keys School

The Keys School Board of Trustees is delighted to announce the appointment of Heather Rogers as the next Head of School at Keys School, effective July 1, 2019. The search committee unanimously recommended Heather to the Board, and the Board was unanimous in its approval of that recommendation. We are thrilled to welcome Heather and her family to the Keys Community!

Heather inspired excitement among our faculty, administration, families, and students. Her warmth, enthusiasm for learning, and readiness to connect resonated with our community, and we are confident that these characteristics, along with her over 25 years of teaching and leadership experience, will help to guide our school as we continue to build upon the strength of our mission and values.

Heather Rogers comes to Keys from Prospect Sierra, a K-8 school in El Cerrito, CA, where she has been the Middle School Division Head for the past 9 years. Prior to Prospect Sierra, Heather’s roles have included serving as the West Coast Regional Director (Membership Outreach) for the National Association of Independent Schools, the Assistant Head of School and Director of Admissions and Marketing at The Gardner School of Multiple Intelligences in Vancouver, WA, as well as the Director of Athletics and an English teacher at Marin Academy in San Rafael. In addition to her teaching, coaching, and leadership experience, Heather holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in medieval literature from Dartmouth College, and an M.A. in Private School Leadership from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI.
