Our students in the “Walk in the Woods” group takes the phrase “just walk it off” quite literally. Students spent their afternoons connecting with each other and the outdoors during walks in nature, visiting Foothills Park, Huddart Park, the Baylands and nearby Mitchell Park. Students also participated in geocaching (locating hidden treasures in the woods using GPS devices) and spent time exploring creeks, finding wild mustard and fennel, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Students practiced slowing down, being in the moment, and appreciating the beauty of nature.
