Students in our Quiet Activities group took the opportunity this week to refocus their minds and bodies through silent activities, such as coloring, doing puzzles, and watching a selected series of silent films, such as Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton. Quiet activities such as journaling give our students the uninterrupted time on their own to reflect, re-focus, and reset after ERB testing each day. For students in this group, quiet activities can be a great time to practice mindfulness, sitting in the quiet with their own thoughts and feelings. Because this week summer arrived a little early, students were able to reset with quiet activities both in our library and also outside.
