Reading for fun, just like the arts, math, science, English and other subjects, deserves time, so yesterday Keys Middle School students, faculty, and staff literally dropped everything they were doing to sit and read. The D.E.A.R initiative is meant not only to promote literacy, but remind everyone how much fun reading can be. The Middle School campus was completely silent as students, faculty, and staff grabbed a favorite book, manga, or even magazine, found a cozy spot somewhere on campus, and enjoyed the beloved pastime of reading.
